Module: Real World Sounds (Advanced)

Soundscapes can be constructed from a variety of different sources. We can even use abstract sounds in order to construct dramatic soundscapes.

In this project you will:

  • Learn how sounds can be used to articulate a given narrative.
  • Understand how sound can operate both within the world of the scene (diegetic) and outside the world of the scene (non-diegetic).
  • Develop skills in recognising the potentials of sounds and how they can be used for different ends.
  • By the end of this project, you will be able to use everyday sounds to create surreal, radiophonic works through transformation and montage.
